Hi all, first of all kudos and many thanks to Adrian and Paul for their great contributions to the QL-SD project. My mission was to transfer design, drivers and knowledge to others, so the device can be built and the project can survive without depending on my person. Until recently, QL-SD still req...
The user with the INGOT 3 Gold Card reports that the problem accessing $C000 to $FFFF no longer exists. Please disregard my suspicion of ROM shadowing in this address range.

8. It should not be restricted to the QL only, but at least be themed and addressed as an all Sinclair event. Open for everyone, even for alien retro computer systems (ATARI, COMMODORE, AMSTRAD, etc.). Even at a Sinclair-only meeting, the QL would already be an almost negligible minority. If the sc...
I should add that the affected Gold Card seems to have an unusual mix of components. The firmware and the PCB (Red, Issue 3) are newer than my Gold Card (Red, Issue 2), but the PLD (INGOT 3) is older than mine (INGOT 6). It almost looks like someone put together the card by components which did not ...
Is there any information, at which address (if any) the Gold Card can directly access the ROM area originally located at $C000 to $FFFF? In normal operation, this address range seems to be shadowed in RAM, and therefore not usable to access real hardware (for some Gold Card PLD revisions). I'm aware...

I was searching this thread for a specific info on the Gold Card ROM shadowing (which I didn't find). But here's a little remark on high speed interrupts. Fortunately, some of this work was done before, on the Q40/60. It implemented a fast poll interrupt (20kHz IIRC!) and it showed that the CPU coul...

I should have eliminated the last remaining bugs today, so UQLX is now the second QL emulator, after Qemulator, which can handle QL-SD filesystem images. I have no idea when Richard will release it. If someone already needs the feature, please feel free to contact me by personal email. The trick is ...

How are you doing it now? Cloning the QL's ZX8301 + DRAM? Or something derived from Aurora?

The Q40/Q60 SMSQ/E binary can't work. Qemulator emulates only video/sound, but not the whole machine.
