Re: SMSQ/2 on Atari

<> yes, exactly. I have the Atari bootable disk with SMSQE.PRG, but what I miss is the QL formated disk with the distribution on it. I tried to read the manual, but I have no idea what format has to be used, or if I can do something like a copy of the .win container of the QLE distribution on anoth...

Re: SMSQ/2 on Atari

<> I am not sure if the emulator can load the the QL software from an Atari formatted disk.<> You can partition the Atari's hard disk with a program called fdisk to create some QLWA partitions, which can then be used by SMSQ/E directly. I had a few Ataris with various "emulators", from th...

Re: Idiot's Guide to Installing SMSQ/E - Needed!

I wrote this boot file about 100 years ago when I had just read the documentation and may have known what I was doing.. At the time there was some issue about continuous re-booting which this switch is supposed to resolve. Try it; it seems to work for me - now only in Q-emulator. 120 IF VER$ <> 'HBA...

Re: Passing channels to jobs

As I only program for the Q68 and I only want to compile BASIC programs I decided to modify pjw's code so that it would compile. After many failures (all sorts of things went wrong) I managed to compile one master and five slaves printing into the master's window and their own. Looks good ;) As pjw...

Re: QPC2 v5 released

Hi, The extra <CR> control codes are a symptom of the other operating systems, I use QD to strip off the Carriage Returns. Sure, but if your carefully crafted SBASIC program attempts to read a file edited with QD in QPC2 V5, it may now not recognise a file that was previously harmlessly edited with...

Re: QPC2 v5 released

Lots of nice things to say about QPV2 V5 but, as is often the case, such things rarely get a mention; its the problems that get the most attention. Sorry about that! So heres my first problem: I tested the assertion that the host OS'es file system could now be used as a (better) alternative to the n...

Re: Passing channels to jobs

PS: Of course, JOB_NAME (line 160) doesnt work in compiled programs, youd need my QLIBJN command for that. PRTSTR% isnt available on Knoware.no as I didnt think it worthwhile, but QLIBJN is.

Re: New Pointer Environment

<> We have one pending submission from HAOUI for WMAN that actually fully implements the WM.INDEX call.
