Re: Latest QPAC2

Hi,

Is it possible for the source code to QPAC 2 be released under under some sort of licence, like GPL licence.

I struggle with QPTR assembley programming, it would nice to see how programme QPTR, Things.

Re: QL-SD

Hi Marcel,

Nice circuit board, are you going get the whole thing machine soldered, as manual soldering of over a 100 boards would be very tedious.

Re: Q68 Ethernet

Hi,

I meant to say a normal QL.

I saw the demo of the Q60 TCP/IP at Edinburgh, which looks really nice.

Re: ZX Spectrum Next Kickstarter 2 just launched

In case anyone here missed out last time and wanted one: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/spectrumnext/zx-spectrum-next-issue-2?ref=user_menu Wonder if a QL core on this bad boy would make the ultimate QL - it already has almost the same keyboard (although much better so I hear)! Wifi, HDMI, SD...

Re: QL + Monitor + Memodisk expansion

Hi,

I note that this eBay auction sold for £412.10

If I thought that I could get that sort money, I have quite a few QLs and memory expansions, that are much better Thant this one.

Looks like I will be busy fixing QLs...

Re: Newbie: Where to start to learn QL assembly language?

Hi, I would use QMAC probably the most extendive assdmbler, most of all assembler progrsmmes are written with QMAC. I quite like the macro facilities of QMAC. GWASSL is a really good assembler , the Assembley Magazine is written with this assembler in mind. I have been typing in an 68000 game from Q...

Re: Auto-boot in JS ROM

Is there a way to get JS ROM to autoboot like Minerva does? I'm guessing this would have to be a modification withing the ROM itself, no? I posted my ZXSimulator on line ( http://zxsimulator.epizy.com ) and would love it to autoboot but would like to keep that iconic QL bootscreen. Nice web page an...

Re: Q68 Ethernet

Hi,

I do not think a SLIP driver has been written or ported to the QL.

This is something I wanted to do, everyone uses emulators with a TCO/IP stack builtin.

So for real hardware there not much available.

Re: Auto-boot in JS ROM

Hi,

Reading the Qlay 0.90 maual, there is an entry in 7.1 Bugs

Undocumented/untested/unstable development options:
-F100 : fake F1 during boot

Maybe this would work, or if it does not work, maybe the fake F1 option could be fixed.

Re: RCS (revision control system)

Hi, It is little confusing the Git software devloped by Linus Torvalds, who as you know developed a free operating system and Github is hosted by an American company, whose parent company is Microsoft, who developed a closed operating system. It is a little ironic that Microsoft use free and open so...
