Re: Trying to transfer basic file from Mac to QL via Serial

Glad you are sorted. Yes, the post from NZ takes a while - my vDrive certainly took several weeks, irrc. If you have ordered a vMap as well, be very careful with the packaging which comes with tons of shredded paper to protect the vDrive unit. The vMap is in there somewhere. Don't do what I did and ...

Re: Trying to transfer basic file from Mac to QL via Serial

Also as Chris says, Q-emuLator would solve your mdv issues without the need to transfer via serial. But... I think the mdv creation/read/write is for paid only? Don't quote me on that and definitely try it out to see if that feature is available. If you have an M-series Mac, Q-emulator runs absolute...

Re: Trying to transfer basic file from Mac to QL via Serial

You could try using Kermit at both ends. I believe a QL version exists. Not sure what the baud/bits etc would be though. As an aside, on the Mac I use a paid-for app, "Serial" (https://www.decisivetactics.com/products/serial/) which whilst not cheap, avoids having to install any third part...

Re: QIMSI

Hi Stephan, I just checked my email and there is nothing there for 26th October, and I also checked my spam folder - nothing in that either). Do you recall the email title? I searched for QIMSI but nothing came up either. Apologies if you thought I was being rude by not replying, but I really did no...

Re: QIMSI

Hi Stephan - just wondering what the status of the "production line" is? ;) I've not heard anything so I assume you are still supplying the initial batch?

Salut! Un autre français :)
Bienvenue au forum.

Cela fait 51 ans que j'habite au Royaume Uni, alors pour moi c'est l'inverse - mon français n'est vraiment pas courant :D

Re: Archive auto Primary Keys?

The link I gave to Dilwyn's site is a program by Andy Carmichael who also wrote the one in QL-World's MDV Exchange so it's most likely the same program. Having looked at the Quanta entries, these are based on many of the same Archive Procedures including the record numbering. BSJR Thanks, will inve...

Does the case fit the version I would have got recently? If so would you be willing/able to do me a case only?
