I don't know if there is interest, but if you post somewhere pictures of the PCB, both sides, I will do my best on reverse engineering it, to preserve the schematic and share it for future repairs or whatever.

Re: QL Test ROM

I test this cartridge some time ago. Basically it contains a basic program for the quality test of the QL, some basic test like keyboard, serial, microdrive and graphics. I think it's only useful to detect bad soldering on connectors during manufacturing, it depends on a fully working QL to use it. ...

Re: Genius bus mouse

A Genius Bus Mouse is basically a atari, amiga or BBC mouse (wiring can not be the same).

You can use it on QL with a QIMI or Mersey mouse interfaces, also as a replacement for the MICE cartridge mouse, and probably but not sure with a Sandy SuperQboard.

Re: Spectrum Interface 1 Replacment by vRetro

For my, the keypoint of this is that he was able to sintetize the wd1772, this means that is posible to do new (cheap) interface disk for the QL.

Nowdays the WD1772 is more than 50$ and you alwais risk about counterfield chips.

Re: QL Games

In my opinión, two interesting things for future games in the QL will be AGD and CAAD, this compiler/framework/engines has been used to provide high quality games for several platforms and if we got a versión for QL will got instantanely a lot of games a warranty of future ones.

Re: Minerva Mk2 Remake

Have I2C pins and support for read and write will be a good thing. As a first step, I think is not necesary to have the RTC or support for it in ROM, if you add the minimum instructions to manage I2C from basic, later is possible to add a program on boot file that read the RTC and update the QL cloc...

Re: Minerva Mk2 Remake

HI aalea, I like your KiCad design, but there seems to be a problem in the PCB layout with the footprint of R1, R2, R3, also if a DRC is run there is many errors, as is the schematic when ERC is run, many errors. Sorry to point this out. I do not like this offset ROM socket idea, that is present on...

Re: Minerva Mk2 Remake

Hi, I have cloned the git repository. The original Minerva design did not extend the ROM area into the ROM Port, and only 32K ROM EPROM was used, this allowed the ROM PORT to be free. If a 48K ROM, Minvera with Toolkit 2 added the end is used, the ROM Port is disabled, so hardware like QIMSI can no...

Re: Minerva Mk2 Remake

Shall be, because you need to put the 74ls133 under the EEPROM, It's best if you use this lovely turned pin sockets, you know ;-)

Re: Minerva Mk2 Remake

So, here is: https://github.com/alvaroalea/QL_Minerva_MK2 It's Untested, and probably wrong, for sure pins 6 & 7 of the GAL. but I've been unable to found what the square, circle and diamond means. It's designed to be use with a IC socket and a row of double pins (not sure of the technical name)...
