Re: Announcing the new "Gold Card" - QIMSI Gold

Peter wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2024 1:11 pm You may have noticed 2 x 2 extra pins in addition to the QL ROM port (the smaller ones near to the edge).
One of them is leading QLNET and one is a "detection" pin.
The other two could be used with such a connector board. Possibly one as R/W and one as a chip select.
Gets even better :D

Re: FPGA replacment for the ZX8301 ULA and more

Oh I hadn't noticed the 68HC001FN16, so in the 8 bit data bus mode it provides the all important A0 for the QL (IIRC Gold card ingot has to deal with that).

Re: Announcing the new "Gold Card" - QIMSI Gold

Wow, that looks great. Like a QL compute module (conjures up a few ideas) :)

An simple internal DIN41612 to ROMport connector board might be useful

Re: Gold Card Battery

Provides battery backed clock and a few unused bits in RTC chip hold settings for AUTO_TK2F1 (boot automatically as if you pressed F1 with TK2 extensions enabled, AUTO_TK2F2 for F2, AUTO_DIS cancels). Also SCR2EN/SCR2DIS for second screen and FLP_JIGGLE (fix for some drives). IIRC only 4 bits, but C...

Re: Q40/Q60

Same item in UK

Edit: (to save another post in this thread). I find Amazon's search for products useless, too often I only find what I want when I do it in a roundabout way.

Peter wrote: Thu Apr 11, 2024 1:10 pmDid you find any info about the graphics?
No, anticipating when it's on github. Guess would be graphics card in ISA slot.

Re: Q40/Q60

It has been said that OSSC converters can provide that, if they are well tuned. But one has to be careful about the various variants. Also I find them clumsy and expensive. I have tried OSSC and gbs-control on Q60 and I could not find a setting on either that would successfully display the full Q60...
