I soft load TK2 all the time on a machine that has it in ROM and there's never been a problem.

This circuit board isn't for the QL (it's a programmable Spectrum Joystick Interface board by Downsway). I can't identify the PiHER 8C2K2 chip. Most I could track down was a PiHER 8C22K and 8C220K chips and still no clear description (maybe a microswitch?)

I have been playing with Abacus and Easel and I must say, even on a 128K machine with microdrives, it works pretty seamlessly.
