I've had that key fail on the membrane a couple of times, mainly (I assume) because the CTRL gets a lot of use. You could try putting something like a piece of card or paper on the CTRL connections of the membrane to act as a shim to see if that makes a difference.

You won't need the 5v on the 12v line. And one ground should be enough (use the one next to the 5v).

Worth more than £100 Derek. I'd buy all you have for £100 each! It's subjective of course and there are a few factors (like any thing old and offered for sale). They are rare but demand is also low as there aren't many people that even know what they are or would want/need one. They are complicated ...
