Re: ql+ prototype rebuild ? possible
A Q68 is too big to fit into my "sort of QL wafer design" but I am working on a new QL-like box that will hold a Q68. The advantage of my wafer design is that it actually works using QPC running in the smallest PC I could buy. What I find extraordinary is that something that can be made at...

Re: SMSQ/2 on Atari
The SMS2 cartridge was a fairly clever design. It is not a pure ROM cartridge. It uses two Atmel flash programmable and erasable read only memory (PEROM) chips + control logic. It was designed such that SMS2 can be assembled by the user in a modular form and then written to the cartridge using the A...

Re: ql+ prototype rebuild ? possible
For what it's worth, here are my thoughts on your "QLwafer" project:- I have run SMSQE in both a Pi4 and a Pi5. The Pi 4 is a bit too slow but runs SMSQE without problems. The Pi5 is much faster but needs a fan to keep it cool and has some display problems with my installation of SMSQE. As...

Re: Most probably the smallest "QL" ever!
How peculiar. As an experiment I have just tried to buy another for free delivery to UK in pounds and got a price of £66.48. I paid no tax or import duties for my stick. I ordered mine in Portugal, paid in dollars, set the delivery address for Switzerland and it just arrived in my letter box 10 days...

Re: Most probably the smallest "QL" ever!
I bought the 4GB version from AliExpress whilst I was in Portugal. Now that I am looking for it in Switzerland the price seems higher at CHF 76.87 = £67. I say "seems" because the price changes hour by hour and changes from country to country. My order from Portugal was in $ for some reaso...

Re: Most probably the smallest "QL" ever!
Picture of the smallest PC I could find I to make an interpretation of the QL Wafer.
I have used it to run QPC2 as is. It comes with Windows 10 Pre-installed and cost £57.00 inc delivery.
The thing sticking out of the side is a wireless mouse receiver.

by stevepoole » Thu Feb 22, 2024 1:19 pm Hi Folks, Well, to take a break from morped animations : Be careful if you modify the code, as it is highly critical. I hope you don't mind me altering your code such that it works on my systems. Most code written to run on a native QL will either not run an...

Re: Norm's Blog and QDOSMSQ Web Site
Please let me know if I should bother with the old QDOSMSQ wiki or not. Thanks. I'm with martyn_hill when he wrote " I liked the format and style, as much as the info". In my opinion your site http://qdosmsq.dunbar-it.co.uk/doku.php is well worth bothering with. If you decide to get rid o...
