Re: Q68 Ethernet
Does the Q68 have any ethernet access? Or is anyone looking at providing ethernet access? Good and bad news. First the good news: Last summer I have already accessed the internet with the Q68 over ethernet. I successfully used ICMP ping, TCP echo, webserver, textmode webbrowser, POP3 email. This wa...

Re: nxtp Client for TCP_ equipped emulators
On another note; I set the nxtp client aside for a little bit (it basically works fine with the TCP_ device) and are now implementing my PS/2 to QL matrix adaptor so I can put the Q68 inside a QL case; which is definitely much neater than a plain box. Now if only my hands were stable enough and my e...

Re: nxtp Client for TCP_ equipped emulators
Hi Phoebus, This sounds great, can you implement SLIP ? Using an ESP you basically don't need it as you (usually) communicate with the ESP serially via AT commands. It has its own stack and it does the talking to the internet. It's the cheapest solution to implement internet on small devices if you...

nxtp Client for TCP_ equipped emulators
Today as a small break from the ZX Spectrum Next manual, I completed a nxtp client for TCP_ device equipped emulators; This is basically a simplified version of the ntp protocol as hosted by Robin Verhagen-Guest on time.nxtel.org . A client already exists for the ZX Spectrum Next so it was only logi...

Re: Magnetic Scrolls Interpreter - Christmas Edition
Awesome! Maybe you should contact Strand Games. Stefan who did the ZX Spectrum Next version, got their official (remixed) graphics and now they sell it along their other official offerings!

Re: Schon keyboard
Derek, now that I am done with the ZX Spectrum Next manual, I picked up my Schon replacement project back up, originally started as a way to fit my Q68 AND Next inside a QL case (long story); I've explored similar ideas like what you discussed. I much like the look of the Schon to be honest although...

Re: uQLx 2017
HI, I can start UQLX as soon as the Linux box boots up. Can UQLX be altered so that it takes control of the the whole operating system, sort of a integration into the Linux Kernel. Yes, it's possible to autostart it Actually that's not quite right; you need to autostart X first and your desktop and...

Re: Discussion about connecting RASPI to QL
No; it's a completely different paradigm. The TK-PIE OS serves only as a place to implement hardware response to signals sent over to the GPIO.Derek_Stewart wrote:Hi,
I suppose the QL operating System could ported over the TK-PIE OS and run on the PI Bare Metal. But this maybe another emulator...
