Some advice on using Tetroid
Just setup my Tetriod card in my QL, Rich Mellor helped in formatting it as I was having issues. I'm a little confused as I thought I could drag and drop files from the PC on to the CF and read them on the QL. The whole point of buying it was so I could copy quill files over to the PC. But for some ...

Re: qubata 3.10
Once you've formatted the CF card, can it then be read on the PC?

Re: Z80 emulation?
Tobias thank you ever so much for that, it was invaluable. Born 1980, I missed much of Sinclair history and only entered the fray during the later Amstrad years. So any insight to these years is greatly appreciated as it lays a bedrock to build something resembling an informed opinion.

Re: Z80 emulation?
If anyone could spare to time, I'd really appreciate some comments on the emulation side of things. Which hasn't yet been touched on.

Re: Z80 emulation?
Hey guys
Just want to give a big thank you to everyone for sharing such a wonderful wealth of information.
I was wondering if anyone could comment of the emulation side. At what point did the emulating the Speccy on the Ql become a thing? My own research suggests 1984.

Re: Z80 emulation?
Hi Tim Thanks for the link and replying. I was surprised to see I've had a number of views but little response. Perhaps because it's treading over a well covered topic? Who knows lol I read that Sinclair intended the QL to compete and also out perform the IBM PC of the day. Sadly I think the stunted...

Re: Z80 emulation?
FYI The reason I ask is because I'm writing an article and I'd like to confirm whether my perception of the QL is anything near accurate. I started out on the Spectrum and C64 a few years after the QL had been and gone and dont have the luxury of first hand experience. So input from any QL users fro...

Z80 emulation?
Hey guys A random question Back when the QL was launched my impression is that Sinclair tried to separate it as much as he could from the spectrum, so as to avoid people perceiving it as another home games machine. Would that be an accurate assessment? Also at what point did emulation of the spectru...

Thanks for posting that link Rich
The QL is now up and running again, keyboard fixed and all LEDs in working order!
I'm going to hold off replacing the regulators until I have the right ones or can confirm what I have will do the job.
