Buying a QL

Hi all, I'm thinking of buying a QL. My hardware is in storage in Sweden but I'm located in Asia and wont be going to Europe anytime soon. Since i have no clue, I want to ask, what is a resonable price for a QL and where is the safest place to buy one? Any suggestions are most welcome. I hope the qu...

Re: Microdrive

It shouldn't actually be too hard to port it to any other fpga board. Only a few things would have to be changed. Mainly the rom/tape upload which is currently done using the arm io controller would have to me replaced. Since most other FPGA boards contain flash memory it'd probably easiest to use ...

Re: Microdrive

Hi, just want to post some update on progress. I found a lot more information by reading the Minerva 1.98 source. It's quite well documented and structured. I realize that this is the way to go to reach higher level of hw-compatibility. I'm not sure though, how much the minerva differs from the JM r...

Re: Microdrive

*KUDOS* Thanks Tobias, this was exactly what i was looking for! What you wrote corresponds quite well with the code in qlay. Now i finally have enough understanding to fix the bugs :-) All this knowledge that you (and others out there) have about the QL should really be stored in a Wiki for future a...

Re: Microdrive

Yes, I read that thread, not much information. I do wonder how Jan V. and the others who wrote the simulators figured out how those parts work. They most probably didn't :) As said above - If you intercept the read and write calls in the OS while this is still working on sector read/write level, yo...

Re: Sinclair QL - Finnish model

Hi,

I might be interested. I'm Swedish, but lives in the Philippines since many years. If you're willing to ship it here (or if you by any chance have your way here) it could be a deal.

What's included?

Cheers,
Mike
