Maybe converting the _scr file to _pic; but then we'll need a _pic reader.
Or, better, drawing the screen with few superbasic lines (the image is a simple a rainbow background made with horizontal bars, and some CSIZE 3,1 text).

I made some tests with the BOOT (without the PatchSTOP procedure). I got the best results from microdrive, without Trumpcard and without Minerva rom. I had to remove the splash screen because of the limited space of the cartridges :-) Also with Trumpcard + RES_128 and JM Rom the stability seems almo...

Even if now the option menu is always visible, still the black screen problem sometimes occurs when passing to next level.

I'd rather have a clock that loses time every now and then than a battery that potentially destroys the PCB by leaking when not used for half a year. Yes this is wise. Anyway, in my limited experience, I've never seen one leaking battery in a PC motherboard, even if left off and alone for 10+ years...
