Re: UQLX with BDI / QL-SD support

Hi QLers, Is it only me or is it true that all the old uQLx distributions plus the two above are not able to be installed and run on recent Linux systems (modern HW platforms, recent 32-bit or 64-bit Linux distributions). I one says one or the other uQLx distribution works could he or she provide a...

Re: bv.chrix

Hi Dilwyn, There is no need to round BV.CHRIX requests to an even value since it will always be rounded up to the nearest multiple of 16 bytes (JS) or 64 bytes (Minerva). This mechanism is explained in the Minerva manual and source code (see bv\chstk.asm). That said, strings on the RI stack should o...

Re: Hello from the Netherlands!

Welcome, Jan! Seeing that Basicode screenshot reminded me of the days when home computer programs were so popular they were actually broadcasted on the radio. Younger members might not know that, but (starting in the Netherlands and then spreading all over the continent) radio programs were actuall...

Re: Hello from the Netherlands!

A warm welcome to the forum. It's nice to see some Dutch users returning to the QL. I read once that the Dutch QL scene was even bigger than the UK at some point, where have they all gone? :) Just to add, do you have any rare games among all those disks? :geek: Well, I'm not really a gamer, more a ...

Re: Hello from the Netherlands!

Hello Jan, nice to see you here. I think we met once in Eindhoven (I think 1989 or so). I was a heavy user of your editor (delivered with C68), cause it was the one I used together with QLFED (the Maustausch program for the German Mausnet). Hello Peter, I remember the Eindhoven meetings ran from 19...

Re: QPC2 and physical flp1_

I have the same problem with QPC2 v4. It won't read QL floppies with either density which can be successfully read by QPC2 v3.12 and native QL+Gold Card. I'm using Windows 7. Will try XP later, I'll let you know. -- UPDATE -- I've installed QPC2 v4.02 on XP and that solved the problem! So don't thro...

Hello from the Netherlands!

Hello, For some of you, my name may sound familiar (I saw some familiar names on this board too). I've been involved in the Dutch QL scene for a long time and I am still the chairman of the now pretty dormant Dutch Sin_QL_air user group. We used to organise meetings in Eindhoven with many internatio...
