Re: What QL emulator do you recommend?

Have a look at WIN1_smsq_sbas_fileinfo_asm of the SMSQ/E sources (from label sbfi_do), it shows how to execute the SBASIC thing. Some more usage info is in the SMSQ/E manual. I don't have any better example I'm afraid.

EXE files can be saved on the DOS device (QEmuLator style) and file extensions are automatically converted ("_bas" vs ".bas").

Um, what do you mean with "the OE input is not used"?

Re: Ebay QL sales

I might have bought one for spares for £20 but not at those prices when you can get 3 year old Notebooks with a million times more power. :( The ULA chip alone is currently traded for something like £20 as they become increasingly rare. Same with power supplies, they alone go sometimes for 40€. I'v...

DTACKL looks normal. Not sure about OE. I've measured these on my QL for reference, you have much more ground noise, but could be that the Samsung QLs were better in this respect.

Re: QL news told by the Spanish community

That does indeed seem like a very nice presentation. The automatic translation often was no help ("Amiga" became "friend" and "QL" was often "google" I think), but most of the time I got the gist of it. Though I almost lost it at "magic mirror sex style&q...

Re: Issue 6 VM12 & resistors confusion

Do all capacitors on your board look like a resistor?

Edit: OK, seems to be the norm with Issue <6 boards.

Yeah, with these test being bigger than the whole of Minerva. There is not one byte to spare in that ROM.

Re: Issue 6 VM12 & resistors confusion

one of the data lines has two levels making the signal look different to the others on the buffer. Lett me gess: D0? ;) The clock on the ZX8301 IC22 is 5.1 MHz and all hell breaks sometimes when I stick a scope on it to look at it. To me that sounds more like a problem with your scope than the ULA....
