Hi all,

I am selling my Gold Card on SellMyRetro.com. The Buy It Now price is £275 but the reserve is a lot lower than that.

All proceeds will be used to make QL hardware. Gold Card batteries are now in production, and multi-ROM cards will be available in about two months. There are a couple of other interesting releases coming up too. This sale is purely to fund those developments.

If someone made a replica gold card and put it out for say £100 I reckon they would clean up.

I suppose a PCB design could be generated and new PCBs made.

I do not have a Gold Card to do this.

The other problem is the Altera Chip on the Gold/Super Card has a specific version of Altera chip that is date sensitive.

I am looking into this to see if a replacement chip can be used.

Don't worry, I'll be posting another one in a few days. Also, an Aurora, Trump Card and a couple of other bits and bobs.

As for the GC replacement discussion, let's start a new thread as I believe this is quite doable but it would be good to understand the issues.

I'm posting an 896K Trump Card on SellMyRetro.com this week. It has the original box and manuals, and is tested/working perfectly. It has the original metal cover/heatsink too.

It will be a reverse auction like the Gold Card, starting at £175 and dropping £5 every day.

I will post here when I list it.
