Genius bus mouse

Post by Jbizzel »

Hi,

I searched the forum, but didn't quite find the answer.

I have the above mouse, and was thinking I might be able to use it with some form of adaptor in ser2

My set up includes a Hermes and SGC. Any pointers (lol) are much appreciated.

Ah, it looks like a bus mouse is not compatible from what I can see.

A Genius Bus Mouse is basically a atari, amiga or BBC mouse (wiring can not be the same).

You can use it on QL with a QIMI or Mersey mouse interfaces, also as a replacement for the MICE cartridge mouse, and probably but not sure with a Sandy SuperQboard.

At the following link there is a (partial) list about compatible mice:

Thanks!

I found another ball mouse I have.

It's a mercury, but it's PS2. Maybe it has a serial protocol, but I'm not sure. Maybe I can make a PS2 to serial connector.
