found some type of filler soft enough to be usable ( according the seller ) ,
now to see if it really sticks to this 3d printed plastic .

Hi,

Are you planning to use plastic primer? Not the grey one but the transparent.

Excellent work BTW

It is Revell Plasto filler ,

the seller said he sells it a lot to people finishing 3d cases and things .

altough it is recommended for polystyrol .

Right now i can say that the structure is not smooth enough for what i expected , maybe i was expecting too much ??

sanding with 800 and water does not give me a smooth finish .

i will learn on the job i think

Hi

Isn’t it getting smooth enough after sanding or is the problem that it doesn’t fill enough?

I think you should try using a finer sand paper and water.

If someone could help me with giving it a pi inside ( plus a keyboard converter ) it would be super .

Right now i am missing the expertise to get that together ........

So far so good ,

The prototype mock-up is finished .

If i can find some financial resources , i might consider making it a working unit.

I will need the help from you on the forum to do so ( ql emulator on a pi , and a way to get the keyboard connected to that pi , software etc, etc. )

Any help on that matter will be very usefull too .

Have you considered QLbase? viewtopic.php?p=52483#p52483
It can connect to a Q68 or (more easily) a Qzero and provides a QL matrix keyboard interface.
No emulator though - it's native hardware.
I wrote no docs yet, but if you are familiar with the Q68, it should not be too hard.

Any chance you could join the international QL anniversary? Would be the easiest way to figure out a solution.
