IIRC this is a 16KB EPROM cartridge (similar to the CARE cartridge) produced by SPEM in Italy.

The microdrives are nothing rare - they are just a set from an OPD unit.

The Q+4 is always of interest - although no idea why you would take a QL case and paint it blue. Some keyboard interfaces did have a blanking plate which screwed onto the top of the QL.

The LCD screen looks more as though it is taken from a laptop...

Who knows what the PSU / timer units are - probably nothing to do with the QL

Ah OPD drives I thought they were printer parts. I wonder the box is on the right, it looks fixed to the QL. I'll have a cheeky bid anyway looks interesting! Although I'll struggle to think of four expansions to fit the Q+4.

A Q+4 unit from CST (Cambridge Systems Technology) is a great device. Made from solid metal, it allowed four expansion cards to be plugged into a QL. It sat under a QL, raising a QL keyboard at a slight angle (like using the plastic feet) and a short ribbon cable from the Q+4 attached to a small interface card which plugged into the QL expansion slot on the left hand side. Q+4 needed its own power supply (which looked like a QL one, don't remember if it was the same voltage and current rating). I'm not 100% sure, I think it had a small eprom which corrected a QDOS bug to allow more than one interface card with onboard rom/eprom to be used at the same time on some QL ROM versions. There was also a degree of buffering on the Q+4 interface to make multiple plug-ins more reliable.

Although the Q+4 was an excellent and well built device, I always felt that the QL was a bit unstable stood on it, although the QL I used with it at the time had a missing plastic foot mount (the little rubber or plastic ring under the QL into which the plastic feet plugged).

As for the LCD screen, that might well be any old LCD screen which happened to be in the bundle, although at one time Nasta was looking to interface a ono LCD to an Aurora card, although I don't think any of those actually made it out into the wild.

Interesting and unusual finds on ebay, vanpeebles!

Well, I see the blue QL + Q+4 has been re-listed:-

The seller is also selling some QL software.

Yes the software is being sold all separately at inflated prices for my taste, if it was all bundled I might consider :(

The blue boxed QL is fascinating though

Eeeee I wonder why it didn't sell? The first time it sold for around £90, also Mister Smith sounds like a rare game, the QL wiki has it down as missing in action.
