That sounds very flash, can you still get AT keyboards though?

You can use a PS/2 to AT adaptor and then use a PS/2 Keyboard which are more common nowadays.

As for cost - SuperHermes retails at £110 plus postage, but then the SuperHermes does include the following:

•Hi-speed 2-way RS232 (9 pin DIN lead supplied) at up to 115,200 baud on a Super Gold Card equipped QL (around 80Kbps)
•9 pin DIN serial mouse connector
•2 other RS232 inputs
•IBM PC AT keyboard connector (will also handle a PS/2 Keyboard with a standard PS/2 - AT adaptor.
•A keylock connector (locks the QL and IBM keyboard, as well as any mouse connected to SuperHermes)
•1.5K of non-volatile EEPROM
•Connector for capslock / scroll-lock LED
•Turbo connector (256 speed factors)
•Keyclick function which can be toggled on or off.

With SuperHermes, you have the option of using the standard QL serial ports which are improved and support input at up to 19200 baud, as well as different input baud rates on each port (the original 8049 can only handle up to 9600 baud and has the same baud rate for input and output across both ports). If you have Minerva v1.97 as your operating system, you can have split output baud rates also.

I shall try to remember to let you know !! You can always log onto sellmyretro.com and then add a keyword watch for superHermes - you will then get an email as soon as I list them!

Obviously, the Aurora card already has all of this great stuff, and only the keyboard interface would be used. If there's a cheaper interface alternative that would be better, as $110 buys a whole Atom dual core PC here. That's where selling the Aurora and buying the PC and putting QPCII on it starts making a lot of sense.
