QLObi says he plans a 2024 QL meeting in the Frankfurt area, within reach of the airport. That makes some sense. While England as the QL's mother country would be my favorite, I think Germany is likely to attract more participants nowadays.

Eindhoven is a nice memory, but I guess none of it's former English participants would come. Making it less practical than it was.

Hi all,
the meeting in Germany will take place at the weekend of 7/8/9. of June 24 in Dormagen.
It will take place in a Hotel. Dormagen is located between the airports of Düsseldorf and Cologne.
From there for both directions is a so called "Regio"-Railway connection available (less than 1/2h to Dormagen Railway station).
From Railway to Hotel is about 1.8 km (a bit more than a mile). If there are not to many, i can pick you up at the railway station.
Otherwise you need to used the taxi service at the station.
Even originaly planned as a "German" meeting, all are wellcome.
At this time i am negotiate special room rates for the participants.
I will publish further details during next week.

Thank you for letting us know about this - hope you have a great event.
At the moment it looks like I won't be able to attend German meeting on those dates, but if things change I'd love to be there.

Hi all.
important anouncement regarding the meeting:
I was pushed to move the meeting to the 17/18/19.May!
At the negotiations for a better roomrate i was told that for last week im May to last week of June a lot of trade fairs In Cologne and Düsseldorf taking place and driving the room rate in all hotels in the surrounding by factor 3 (>300 Euro/person/night). This happens to more or less all hotels in this area.
Now the roomrate is 89.00 Euro for a single room and 6 Euro for overnight parking.
The name of the hotel is Hoetche https://hoettche.de/. Just switch to english.
There is a contingent of 10 Rooms resevered for us, just mention "Computertreffen" at booking.
As alread adressed you are able to get from the airpors of Cologne and Düsseldorf to Dormagen within 0.5h.
I will post connection details later.
