I have one of these beauties that came in a bundle purchase, plugged it in and got nothing on screen. So I opened it up cleaned the board etc, re-socketed the chips, gave the drive a once over and hurray it has output on the screen.
Error: faulty vdu ram
Does anyone have any experience with these machines? Yes the error is very to the point wondering if anyone has seen this error before and overcame it as would be shame for this to be just a paperweight.

Re: Sinclair PC200
Not familiar with those at all. Are any of the RAM chips socketed? Can you tell which are the VDU RAM chips? What type are they?

Could they be 8x 8kx8 RAM chips labelled IC133 and IC130?
