Hi Everyone

Post by ElMarco »

I used to work in a team who developed 6809 and 68000 based hardware many years ago.

I had a QL back in the day and loved it but it was one of those things that got sold off to help buy a house.

So, I now have 3 from ebay and in the next few weeks I'm going to be testing and repairing them.

I love these old machines and keeping them in good health is important and fun.

I'm looking at memory expansion, sd replacements for one of the mdvs that I know is faulty and I'd love to get them networked together if that ever worked.

Minerva seems a good first upgrade...

Wish me luck :)

Welcome to the Forum, and the madness therein! ;)

And good luck with your QL repairs. Keep us updated on what you find, and don;t worry about asking questions if you need any help. There are some hardware geniuses on here.

Cheers,
Norm.

Hi Mark,

Yes indeed, you are not far away. MrsD and I occasionally pass through Thirsk. I think we stopped once -- it was probably narket day!

Cheers,
Norm.
