I'll take a few pics tonight. The game will have graphics too, I'm planning on keeping it under say 10 locations but the locations it will have will be highly detailed.

RWAP, do you know what version of ACT it is? :geek:

I have had a look through some recently acquired Digital Precision disks, but alas there was no copy of ACT !

The only one I have is the preserved copy from the Digital Precision collection (which was the latest version of ACT produced).

Lucky guys having a copy of it :)

How are you going to do the graphics? Drawing in Photoshop and converting?

It comes with it's own graphics package that what I gather saves the pictures as actual drawing comands.

Ah OK. I hoped it would be possible to insert bitmap graphics in order to have the possibility to insert some ground breaking images ...

I don't think so, I know it can save out as a bitmap as an option for external use.

That reminds of the graphic version of a game on the Spectrum which was also drawn, I cannot remember the name though, it may have been the Hobbit but I am not that sure.

A lot of early speccy games had that kind of style graphics where they got drawn before your eyes and you waited. Two favorites I can remember were Mugsy and Urban Upstart.

Just reading tonight and it seems like the screen compressor, will screenshot anything on screen using a memory resident program and then save it for use with ACT. So you could maybe do some fancy graphics on PC, somehow send it over to the QL, load it up and then screenshot it.
