Yes but if yoy remap 192.168.1.154 (for example) to 1 you also must remap 192.168.1.1 to 154 or you cant use it as a client.

The remapping is a bit of a fudge, to get around the problem, that if the low IP addresses (e.g. 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.8) are already in use by the network(router,network printers etc). So you cannot use them for the computer you are running the QL emulator on, or the router has assigned the computer a higher IP address.
The QL must have (or at least, the file server must think it has) a network station number of 1 -8. The remapping is not intended to do what you are asking. If you have a QL with an IP address of 192.168.1.1, it should be network station 1. And the QL with the IP address of 192.168.1.154 should be remapped to something else (2 to 8).
