Possible booster for 68000 accelerator boards

Post by Zarchos »

Hi all.

I'm new to the forum.
I decided to join to bring you an info which might be of interest, although I'm not entirely sure.

On YouTube you can see a wizard who developed an accelerator board for the Amiga500 and Atari ST.
Here is the channel : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCu4uiU ... TGsmQ/feed

I thought maybe it would work with the 68000 based accelerator boards for the QL.
It's up to you to decide to investigate ...

Kindest regards,
Xavier.

Owner of various QLs including accelerated beasts, and also a happy Q68 owner ;)
Now porting SOTB to the Archies, to then port it to the Q68.

We actually have a couple of things coming to users in the next year or so, maybe? A very promising project is Peter Graf's Q68 which implements a complete QL in programmable logic, plus large RAM.

Separately there's my hobby project to do some new interfaces and expansions, which is not yet starting to bear fruit but is at least flowering!

'Complete' except microdrives and original keyboard. The Q68 has the approach "strictly no emulation", so these were replaced by SDHC and PS/2, with different drivers in the operating system.
