512K RAM CARD

Post by Paul »

As no one else showed up with a RAM Card for our QL i have now listed a batch of five on SMR:
http://www.sellmyretro.com/offer/detail ... -SLOT-4189
If required I can always make another batch.
Kind regards
Paul

Nice....what's about a thru-con like the Miracle one?

The RAM Card is "AS IT IS" ;)
Anyboy with different needs is welcome to produce his own version.
My plans for the future need access to the outer border, so no connector can be placed there.
Kind regards

Looks suspiciously like RAM + external QL-SD in one is in the making, that looks suspiciously like an SD footprint :-)

I'm not going to announce anything before it's ready to sell ;)
But the PCB can't be smaller if you want to be able to get it out of a QL without opening it.
So I designed a bit more than purely a RAM Card. It is "compatible" to TCAT's RAM Card, which means I used his design.
The RAM Part has been tested and works as expected. I had no time to test anything else.
There is some demand for the QL-SD, so I will have to look into that before testing anything more with this PCB.

Very sensible way to approach, I hope you have success with turning it into the all seeing eye of boards :-)

One difference to the QL-SD design is that (nearly) everything is through hole design. This means if anybody is interrested this PCB can be hand soldered by anybody.

What is the rest on the PCB for?

Congrats! Every new hardware development is very welcome! I'm curious to know what the final version will be, when all chips and logic are on ...

Thumbs Up!
