Av/ RCA mod help needed
Av/ RCA mod help needed
Can anybody advise me on how to perform a modification to the tv output socket so an RCA cable can be used, as my picture is quite grainy and unstable. I have done such a thing on a 48k spectrum but not a QL, I'm thinking its probably the same procedure? Thanks.
Re: Av/ RCA mod help needed
No such mod is necessary, as the composite PAL video signal is already present on the "RGB monitor" DIN connector.
Just use pins 1 and 2.

Thanks for reply, problem is I don't have a suitable monitor cable or monitor. So not quite sure what you are suggesting?. I wanted to use the tv output socket, it works but the picture isn't perfect.

Re: Av/ RCA mod help needed
Just put a jumper wire from pin 1 of RGB connector to center of modulator plug removing the resistor first.
EDIT: typoed the pin previously!

I thought that You mean this 48 kB ZX Spectrum video mod:

This is not necessary on the QL.
