Help! I'm currently building a Pandora system with a super gold, super hermes, aurora, qubide clone and qplane. (Phew) Is this an ok way of powering the gold card with 5v?
I'm going to cut the other end off the molex and solder it to the prongs on the adapter socket.

Err, why don't you buy a proper barrel power plug?
You need, IIRC a 2.1mm inside dia, 5.5mm outside dia type.
Maplin do them, order code: N81KT
And of course, they are available at all good electronic suppliers and of course from eBay...
One example from eBay.
You can also get right angled types. Example from ebay.

QL, Falcon, Atari 520STFM, Atari 1040STE, more PC's than I care to count and an assortment of 8 bit micros (Sinclair and Acorn)(nearly forgot the Psion's)

Re: HELP! Pandora build with Super Gold Card
I did wonder what was going on with my post!
I would say, that the item you linked to would do, but the eBay entry talks about 12V. And I forget what voltage the Super Gold Card needs
If it needs 5V, it won't like 12V up it
Note, I have edited my earlier post...

Re: HELP! Pandora build with Super Gold Card
Sorry, my memory has just kicked in, my Super Gold Card that I use has been modified to operate from 5V DC (the regulator has been by-passed).
Sorry for any confusion

Sorry about that I was just going to make my own version but solder the +5 and 5v earth on the molex to the prongs on the adapter plug (which plugs into the +5v socket on the right) and with the right polarity. The pandora uses a pc at psu which powers the qplane but also needs to power the sgc.

Re: HELP! Pandora build with Super Gold Card
Another question for the moment, I'll test run it with a normal hermes chip rather than a super hermes. How does it handle the fact the aurora has a serial port and also the super hermes will have too? Will I have to disable the keyboard on the aurora and use the one on the super hermes? Also the same issue with the mouse port too.
