Can you feel it too?
I just wondered what was giving you this feeling? You had my hopes up there for a while...

Re: SOLD Jurgen Falkenberg Keyboard Interfaces

By the way Jurgen Klinsman was a footballer as far as I know. It was Jurgen Falkenberg who designed and made quite a few different bits of hardware for the QL - although much of it was quite poorly designed.... Glad the keyboard interface seems to work - just be careful that it doesn't pop out of th...

Re: SOLD Jurgen Falkenberg Keyboard Interfaces

A quick search of these forums shows at least one design for a replacement Minerva board - with the Eagle CAD file also included - see: http://www.qlforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=576 As for RAM and disk interfaces - this is the problem - whilst copies of the EPROM can of course be created easi...

Re: SOLD Jurgen Falkenberg Keyboard Interfaces

If you get anyone and tell them that, in order to bring the QL up to speed, they need £60 for the latest ROM, another £60 for a Hermes, another £60-80 for RAM expansion and a floppy disk interface or £120 for a Trump card or £170 for a Gold Card... and that there is no CF or SD storage solution -- ...

Re: SOLD Jurgen Falkenberg Keyboard Interfaces

You may not believe it but I agree with your comments to a large extent. I would love to see a QL-SD project on the market for £50 or less - but who knows if it will happen. That is why I, and others have set up various methods for products to be brought to market. It is all down to choice, and whet...

Re: SOLD Jurgen Falkenberg Keyboard Interfaces

No - I only have 2 brand new Hermes chips - Tony Firshman would need to make some more SuperHERMES - and I know you would only moan at the price anyway!

In any case, I'll be lucky if the Hermes bozos down south find the keyhole and start their van's engine.
Fellow QLers should know that SuperHermes can do it much faster than Hermes ;)

Re: Rights to QDOS in the USA

All they own is the right to make new copies of QDOS within the US. If the copy is made outside the US, lawfully, it can be freely imported into the US. If the copy is pre-existing, it is covered by First Sale Doctrine. To avoid having to deal with that issue at all (and to keep things simple) my l...
