Re: Hello from the North West
Welcome to the forums - the main issue with microdrives is the felt pad on the cartridges themselves disintegrating. Next to check is a) the tape head - clean it with some tap head cleaner b) the rubber roller on the left hand side of the slot - has this ridden up the metal post it is on (there shou...

I have preserved the Metacomco pascal microdrive cartridges, although I do need an image of the ROM cartridge please - maybe you could post it up to me and I will back it up

Re: Minerva MKI ROM
Oh - the other thing to consider is whether to wait for the QL-SD - this connects into the QL's ROM port and hopefully should be available later this year - although expanded memory is going to be required to run most games (it would seem).

Re: Minerva MKI ROM
Ben Versteeg makes those disk drive units - they should be very good as Ben has produced some items for me. The main problem (as always) is the shipping costs and lack of disk interfaces!
I don't have any spare interfaces, nor even memory expansions!

Re: QPC2 keyboard help
I have sent a PM with Marcel's email address as this will help.
It seems odd - almost as though the key mappings are completely wrong - you didn't say what version of QPC2 you are using... I have v3.33 (running v3.13 of SMSQ/e) - this appears at the top of the startup screen.

Hmm - I use QPC2 on W7 Pro (64 bit) - which version of W7 do you have?
Also what is the version number of your QPC2?

Re: How can you tell DD, HD or ED Floppy Drives apart?
If you have an SGC the only way of knowing is to put a HD disk into the drive and FORMAT it :D If it formats to 1440/1440 sectors, it is a DD drive If it formats to 2880/2880 sectors it is HD (or possibly ED) To test if it is ED, you will need to try formatting an ED drive (should give 6400/6400 sec...
