Re: Weird problem with integer division, or is it me again?
Hi,
Does it matter that the FOR loop index is not defined as an Integer?

Re: Serial connection between QL and PC
Hi, It does not matter how old the software is, as long as you have setup the serial port in Windows in the device manager with the correct Baud Rate and configured the Windows terminal software, TeraTerm with the Windows COM port and baud rate, use Software Flow Control, connect the PC to the QL wi...

Re: Q68 and serial to WiFi modem. Doable?
Hi, This old knowledge from the BBS days in the 1980s, I have forgotten most of it, but here is a little summary. I think there is an area of confusion here, when using modems, there are 2 serial speeds or Baud Rate to consider: 1. The Baud Rate from the Computer to the Modem I usually set the Q68 B...

Re: "8749 replaces 8049" Curiosity
Hi, As I mentioned earler, I bought 10 Intel D8749H IPCs, only 2 out of 10 were abled to be programmed with the ALL03A programmer with the Hetmes code, after erasing them in a UV Eraser. Here is one of the D8749H IPC in a Issue 7 QL: IMG_20220801_165017665.jpg I usually put a better label over the U...

Re: vDrive not working
Thanks for showing me what it looks like. Was it hard to take the plastic cover off of those two boards? Not really, the cover was designed to sit on top of the circuit boards soldered to the main board. My cover comes off all the time. But just gently lever the plastic cover from one end: IMG_2022...

Re: vDrive not working
Hi,
I finally got time to fit the vDriveQL into Charlie's new case, since I used to use it in a Spectrum Microdrive Case.
Here is a photo of the reset switches on the vDriveQL: The Reset Switch is at the end of the Arduino board in front of the Capacitor.

Re: OqtaDrive
Hi,
I noticed on the German QL Forum, that the Banana Pi has had the Oqtadrive software ported over.
Is there any chance of the Pi Pico W being abled to be used on the Oqtadrive instead of the Pi Zero W, as the Pico seems easier to get a hold of...

Re: Problems with/after ROM replacement, vDrive and Exapanderam
Hi, Can you check that the vMap and Microdrives is installed correctly. Try accessing the vDrive without the vMap installed, you will need both microdrives installed to establish the link from the 8302 to the external Microdrive connector. Or without micrdrives installed, connect a link wire from MD...
