Re: Seen on eBay
Go on, what's the interface pictured in photo 2 at the top left please? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sinclair-QL-paraphernalia-and-accessories-/171039004173?pt=UK_VintageComputing_RL&hash=item27d2b8160d Thanks, T. Not sure - it is most likely to be a QControl II board of some sort - http://www.rwa...

Re: Seen on eBay
Actually the QLs with Schoen keyboards are fairly common - people seem to buy them because they like the look, but then they have problems with key bounces and need a Hermes to get them under control :) I sell standard QLs for around £65 - there are quite a few QLs on ebay at the moment - don't expe...

Re: QL Keyboard Membranes
That's me, Rich, always after a bargain. Still, I coughed up for the Trump card, eh? Now I know why you call yourself Rich, ha ha! (Only kidding!) 14 quid is fair for the membrane IMHO. I paid more for a Speccy one, and that doesn't work perfectly, thanks to a slight misalignment and the plastic be...

Re: QL Keyboard Membranes
Hee hee - reduce the price - what a cheek!? With the increasing cost of silver used for the tracks and switches, these will probably end up being more expensive! It was not that long ago that QL membranes were £20 each - you can get them for £14 each on sellmyretro.com ! It doesn't help that due to ...

QL Keyboard Membranes
Well - I have just sold my last QL keyboard membrane from the batch of 250 funded by Quanta at the end of 2010.
Not bad going really
It looks as though I will need to get some more made - I wonder how much more interest there is!

Re: Cased Sinclair QL
Hmm - you are right it does look a bit like that - however, that's not where it came from
It was donated to Quanta following the owner's passing away.

ZIP problems
I just spent a while scratching my head as to why ZIP on the QL was struggling to zip up the disk for Return To Eden. It kept saying things like BRIDGE_1_COMP file name not matched. I tried a different tack - I copied all of the files which ZIP on the QL could not move into the zip file, and then pl...
