Re: Mandelbrot fractal on QL

That reminds me about my own Quick Mandelbrot - I remember spending hours / days trying to eke every last ounce of speed out of the machine code! :)

Re: Sinclair QL Floppy Disk Interfaces

So, in the event there's a successful SDHC project, it will likely spur demand for simple 512K expansions? Yes definitely - people will want TK2 and 512K memory if nothing else so that they can run the latest software :) There are still other projects though Dave that we need - Minerva MKII, Super ...

Re: Sinclair QL Floppy Disk Interfaces

A floppy disk drive interface with TK2 and 512K - if it could be sold for £40-£50 then I reckon we could sell 25-40 - people will be waiting to see what happens with the QL-SD interfaces. Peter Graf's needs more memory for the drivers and extra memory will always be useful for running programs whate...

Re: Jurgen Falkenberg Keyboard Interfaces

Well, there was one interface left and a keyboard - although if you are not in the UK the £25 postage or so to the EU would not be worth it! However, I think they have been breeding over night - whilst looking for something else (as is always the case), I found another 2 So 3 Interfaces left and an ...

Feel free to order anything else to go in the same box!

Re: Jurgen Falkenberg Keyboard Interfaces

Rich, how much would the postage be for one Jurgen Falkenberg Keyboard Interface one AT/XT keyboard? Mark Drat does that mean looking for a reasonable sized box to house the damn thing now... :) Within the UK - the postage would be £12 as it would go by courier - cheaper than Royal Mail Large Parce...

SOLD Jurgen Falkenberg Keyboard Interfaces

If anyone wants Jurgen Falkenberg Keyboard Interface to try - I now have two left - they are untested and without any sort of warranty as I am unsure if the pins are any good or will survive transit. Cost £8 plus postage. If you want one of the two AT/XT keyboards (please someone!!) then you can hav...

Re: Sinclair QL Floppy Disk Interfaces

Oh, by the way, Rich... you never answered this: if your Gold Cards haven't sold at £165 for months now, how come and the price isn't coming down? Ever? Is there some secret "market force" there? Simple answer - because I don't want to make a loss on them! I bought 3 QL systems complete w...

Re: Sinclair QL Floppy Disk Interfaces

As for the Super Gold Cards - yes, as with anything, they can of course be made, well something similar, if it is a complete redesign from scratch - the logic code would need re-writing completely from scratch as the Altera chip used in the Gold Card and Super Gold Card is obsolete and although the...

Re: Sinclair QL Floppy Disk Interfaces

If the QL community wants to survive, new active members are needed (see the problems with QUANTA and QL Today). Microdrives are not viable long term. Floppy disks are not viable long term. Emulation is not the answer either (explain to me how I can encourage a young person to use an emulator of an...
