Re: Hi
Hi Vol, I use Linux. I have QPC2 version 5.01 running under Wine on Linux Mint 20.3 64bit on an old Dell Vostro 17" laptop. QPC2 is a Windows program, but apart from not being able to access floppy discs, runs perfectly on Linux. I've been using it for years. You can get it at https://www.kilgu...

Re: PE Programming for dummies
Have you, by any chance, just fallen foul of the EU's GDPR laws? Are those real names and addresses, if so, you may have broken the law by publishing data than can identify a person, online. Just wondering. UPDATE : I'm told it's publically available data, many years out of date, and Switzerland isn...

Re: QL Music
I suspect the Linux scheduler is the problem. It's not real time enough.
Not that I'm an expert on these matters though.

Re: QL Music
I always thought that the BEEP command was a pointless exercise -- and that QL and Music didn't really go together. Maybe I am/was useless at music anyway and it's not the QL's fault but mine. I tried your code on QPC2 5.01 and it was, unfortunately, not good. Lots of "white noise" over th...

Hey Derek,
Yes, Win10 is dire. Win11 looks to want to be a Mac. But it's still dire! Had a play with it last week.
Cheers,
Norm.

Re: QMAC
I meant everything "source filey" for the C68 system, sorry. I had the sources on floppy, but lost all my floppies to "old age" problems. I know, from further back up this thread, that some files are missing but Marcel now has them, but I was just wondering if we could/should/wou...

Re: QMAC
Gents,
Would the C68 sources at some point, be put on GitHub under the SinclairQL account? Or does Dave have objections to this?
Asking for a friend. (Ok, asking for me!)
Cheers,
Norm.

Re: Is SBASIC programming on SMSQE difficult?
I believe Marcel was hinting that someone (me!) could probably knock up a PEEK_UL function, as opposed to there already being one.pjw wrote:Theres no such function in SMSQ/E for Q68, unless its in an as yet unreleased version.
I think it was meant more hypothetically, as in:
