Do QL emulators running on 68000 systems count, e.g. the Amiga QL emulators (QDOS4Amiga and QDOS Classic)? And possibly QLem for Atari ST?

AFAIK, no, it's never been released from commercial status.

There is a demo version on my site which will load Text 87 files, but will not save, export or print. Probably adequate for viewing Text 87 documents.

No, I agree, sometimes they start up with the menu, sometimes not, most probably just too fast as you say. Tried it with QPC2 again.
