You can (carefully) replace the felt pads on the microdrive cartridges - you can remove the old felt pad and replace it with a new one - either take one from a normal cassette and cut it in half (and then use superglue), or look at: http://www.8-track-shack.com/cassette-tape-replacement-felt-pressur...

A Quanta section on the forum would be the easiest way forward - if some areas could be read only for non-Quanta members, and some areas only accessible for Quanta members, then the library disks could be uploaded to the second area, along with other things which Quanta has rights to for its member...

From memory, the problem with TURBO is that the restore could not just be calculated - it had to be

As then Turbo could update the initial pointer - I could be wrong however.

You should have used FLP_STEP 6 (or even FLP_STEP 12 although that is unlikely)

Excellent news Good job it wasn't a SGC - they tend to be irreparable if plugged into a QL with the 5V regulator bypassed and no backplane.
