Re: SuperBasic for the PC

At the moment, nothing like this exists - perhaps a good start would be to look at I was modifying one of these BBC Basic Open Source compilers out there to be closer to S*Basic's syntax (thanks for the suggestion Phoebus - via Facebook!) - mind you, I can't find one of these...

Re: SuperBasic for the PC

I presume you mean QPC2.... There are some very good QL emulators for the PC - other than QPC2, in my opinion the best one is Q-emuLator - http://terdina.net/ql/q-emulator.html You can also try the new java SMSQ/e emulator (SMSQmulator) - it is based on the SMSQ/e operating system rather than standa...

Re: Qubide clone

That does of course work - however, you ideally both need toolkit II so you can set up one machine as a fileserver !

The problem is finding someone else who has a disk drive so this is not a mass market solution....

Re: Qubide clone

Not at the moment - Daniele Terdina would need information on the format used by QubIDE for hard disks and hopefully try to replicate it.... Currently both QPC2 and q-emulator can handle qxl.win files. There is a tool for the QL to read data from within a qxl.win file (eg. on a CD-ROM) - alas that t...

Sorry - you are right - the 68000 should also have the same problem - I need to try out the original Flightdeck on a Gold Card QL...

Re: QL Flightdeck - help needed

Thanks to George Gwilt, this has now been fixed - the issue was that the code had two lines in it: MOVE.L RUNDAT,A5 TST.L 8(A5) It should have read: LEA RUNDAT,A5 TST.L 8(A5) Whilst the fact that it was returning the value did not matter too much - on the 68008, the TST.L 8(A%) was causing an error ...

Re: Hardware or Software problem

I have checked it here on my Q-emulator with Windows 7 (64 bit) and get the same result - my smsqe is set to use the full screen, so I had an even worse time - pressed the windows key to get a minimised version of q-emulator, and then clicking on any of the q-emulator controls (including the X butto...

Re: SMSQ/e Help needed

You need to be very careful with using the ADATE commands in emulators - I didn't realise that QPC2 (and possibly others) allow this to affect the PC clock directly!
