Q68+ with a real '030 CPU would be fun and only about $5 more in parts than the Q68.

Or disable it altogether, which is the first thing I'll do. I am a text-only kind of guy.

Ideally, there would be more choices. Plain desktop no windows system would be a common choice.

Is it unbuffered? There's no RTS/CTS or XON/XOFF handshaking according to the manual. It has a 16 bytes hardware buffer (FIFO), plus whatever the OS or application provides as software buffer.
