Re: A small QL

I've tested Lynx with SMSQmulator to connect to Dilwyn's page and download QL zip files. QLirc should work with the Q68 to connect to the QL Forum (and other IRC's). It would be nice if someone with a Q68 could test QLirc. Tim Hi Tim, QLirc well hidden on QL Homepage. Where is dowload link for QLirc?

Re: Sinclair QL + QSound demo

Hi, I uaually convert MDV images to MDI for use with the Q68. So the Q68 has MDV and FLP device support thanks to MDI/FDI. The conversion is easy, but an extra job to do. But MDV images work on vDriveQL. I now use Double Density 720K FLP images which are usable with Martin's excellent FDI driver sof...

Re: A small QL

Hi Qbits, The Q68 has a 10BaseT Ethernet Port, running at 10Mbs, the Q68 Ethernet driver, written by Martin Head, that gives basic TCP/IP access, which connected to the local router and allocates IP addresses from the DHCP server. The Q68 can connect to a QL Network to other QL machines, like QPC2, ...

Re: Problem after installing minerva

Hi, The Minerva ROM will work in any of the ROM Sockets. I usually have Minerva & QLSD in Socket IC34, nearest the 8302, to reduce the cable length of the QLSD Card reader, But Minerva can work in Socket IC33. Pin 1 is the back left back side of IC33, IC34 The JS, JM, AH ROMs require a specific ...

Hi, The Sandy CPMulator uses the QDOS filesystem with CP/M files prefixed with a @ character. So not really interacting with the disk system. I can download many Gigabytes of VP/M software that is free, where as the Sandy CPMulator, Digital Precision Success CP/M emulator are both still copyright. P...

Re: A small QL

Hi, Thanks for the nice words. The main reason for trying to learn how programme FPGAs, was to convert the Aurora MACH code into Verilog. I have completed the Aurora PCB coversion into KiCad, fixing the inner layer problems, and correctly routing all the tracks. I thought about changing the MACH CPL...

Re: A small QL

Hi, I totally agree, the Q68, Qzero all are brilliantly designed. I realised this when I saw the Q40, and I went on to build the Q60. I maybe at the limit of my technical ability, I seem to blinded my technology and struggle with the design of FPGA. The Tang Nano 20K, seemed a good idea, for my own ...

Re: A small QL

HI Peter, I totally agree, I am totally sold on the Q68, which I use on a daily basis, all my QL work is done on the Q68, it is the most complete system. I thank you for designing it and I just hope my production of such a marvel, does not diminish your high standards. I may f wasted money on the Ta...

Hi,

The Thor Technical Manual was interesting to read, pity the
