Re: QL ZIP + FRONT END

Hi, I use ACP, I installed it in 1992 and still use it now. It works with all versions of Extended Environment, allows any type of archive programme, i.e. ZIP, HAR, ARJ, LHARC etc... and when configured to be used with Fileinfo2 makes a really nice environment. I also use Q-EMulator for extracting Z...

Re: Winny problem

Hi, I am glad all is okay now. I had a look at a Miracle Hard Drive I have. It has v2.08n rom. I will make a copy of the rom and send it to Dilwyn for his web site. The hard drive interface is a Seagate ST11R. I have found a PDF copy of the interface. Which details the installation and formatting pr...

Re: Winny problem

Hi Jan, It is possible to install the Miracle Hard Drive in a PC with an ISA bus. The hard drive does not have a controller on board as IDE drives, so the controller is on a separate card, hence Hard Card. If memory serves me correct, there is a built-in DOS based format programme, so that a Low Lev...

...and hey-presto, MMSE is springing in to life, reading the MDV cartridge (boy-oh-boy it takes a while...) Thanks again, Derek! Life-saver! Hi Martyn, Sorry about the header problem. I had extracted the zip file to a linux directory. Lesson learned... always use a QL system. I should have the orig...

Re: URGENT / IMPORTANT: BANDERSNATCH (MIA)

Hi,

I usually have Q-emulator running at Full Speed. But the game was too fast. Changing to QL speed, the game was playable.

This will be the same on a Gold Card, where the SLUG command is required.

Re: URGENT / IMPORTANT: BANDERSNATCH (MIA)

Hi, I have diassembled the Loader program and am looking at the game. I do not see how the Atari ST disassembly vould run on a QL. All the Trap calls are different and the screen handling is different. It might be easier to disassemble the Spectrum version and convert the Z80 opcodes to M68K But may...
