Re: Unused ED Disks

Used to have 2 ancient ED Drives but one smelt of burning and leaked smoke while testing it in the Aurora I was building. Now while the remaining drive is installed in the Aurora case I don't use the ED disks I have as when the second one goes anything on an ED disk will be lost unless someone can ...

Unused ED Disks

For those lucky enough to have an ED disk drive, I see that Neil Beadle has found some unused IBM branded ED disks (still sealed). He is offering them at £2.50 each plus postage from the Netherlands which isn't bad, considering how hard these are to find: https://www.sellmyretro.com/offer/details/3....

Re: QL CP/M

Thanks for all of the information Tim - I have added most of that to the QL Wiki as a bit of background interest. All we need now is someone to find a working setup! I'm not sure if it's the same product but I distinctly remember at Sandy having to burn 100 EPROMs with CP/M. Verifying. Putting on th...

Re: Hello from sunny Surrey & re: CPM-68K for the QL

Hi, Some of the old Quest hardware is still around - but I have only ever personally seen the memory expansion boards (which were huge). If you have any old contacts from Quest, or can add to the QL Wiki (http://qlwiki.qlforum.co.uk/doku.php?id=qlwiki:quest_automation_ltd) that would be helpful. I a...

Re: QL 34th Anniversary new hardware.

That is great - I guess the one question would be how easy it would be to implement the twitter authy method, as that was one of the reasons why the Spectranet stopped...

Thanks Dave - well spotted! It would be nice if someone improved the page on the QL Wiki about the QPlane :)

Re: QL PSUs, Cases, Manuals and Boxes

I still have a few bits and pieces left from this, and have now listed some more items on sellmyretro.com:

- IQLR Collectors Edition (Volumes 1, 2 and 3)
- A couple of unbranded QL backplanes
- A Bus Mouse (ideal for use with QIMI)
- Some serial port adaptors

Re: Wanted 2 x PSU + R and F5 keycap 1 rom port cover and 2 expansion port covers

I have spare key caps - £1 each plus postage (including a replacement pillar which they sit on, because it is often due to these wearing that the key cap falls off). It is worth considering whether you might need a new membrane at the same time (as this may disintegrate whe you take the case apart)....

Re: Couple of SD suggestions.

Just wondering what you mean by QLFloppySD ? There are several SD card type solutions now: QL-SD - internal interface. QubIDE with IDE connector (and possibly SD to IDE adaptor) Tetroid Disk Interface (combined Trump Card and QubIDE with built in Compact Flash adaptor and disk drive connectors) vDri...
