Re: TF Services I2C drivers

Hi Dave,

I have a Minerva mk2 on my goldcard QL and have been using the I2C on a couple of projects. So if you have any question, let me know.

Re: QL 34th Anniversary new hardware.

Interesting device !

For the Q68, wouldn't communication through the I2C port be faster than using the serial port ?

Re: Q68 serial port

If you don't want to use QL-SD, an emulator, or wait for QLNET support on the Q68, the fastest way is probably to ZIP flopppy contents to ramdisk and then simply COPY it to SER1, even without XON/XOFF. If the QL is the sender , the lack of Q68 hardware handshake does not matter. The Q68 is fast eno...

Re: Q68 serial port

Hi, Can you not copy all your data into a QXL.WIN file and transfer the file to a SD Card via PC or QPC2. To answer that part: I don't have a PC, being a mac user. So for all those years QLers where playing with QPC, I was not. I was developing directly on the SGC QL. For many years the workflow to...

Re: Q68 serial port

Thank you Derek for the information. I know there is no +12V pin on the Q68 serial connector. But my question was about the signal themselves on the Rx and Tx lines. The RS-232 standard stipulate (from memory) that a bit value of zero is transmitted with a volage anywhere from -3 volts to -12 volts ...

Q68 serial port

Hi, time has come to connect my Q68 to my SGC QL in order to transfer files. Some stupid questions: The manual says that "the original (unreliable) serial ports are not supported". Is the Q68 serial device name still ser1 / ser or some new name ? Also as there are no handshaking possible, ...

That would mean it can not even cope with VESA standard 1024x768 @ 60 Hz. What is it?

False alarm. Everything is working ok now!

Re: Q68 New users and general usage thread

Also received my Q68 yesterday. Everything works fine. The only problem I have is that on the monitor I currently use, the right end of the image is missing. The monitor has sideways adjustment setting but even when I move the image has much as possible to the left, there are still missing pixels on...

Wanted, CST Q-488 GP-IB interface for Sinclair QL

I know they are difficult to find, but it cost nothing to ask!

This is a GP-IB/HP-IB interface for the QL. Obviously the software and instruction are needed too!

Regards,
François
