Re: New QL backplane.

Hehe... Before, I got burned by people taking advantage of the ever-changing exchange rates. The dollar was doing strange things. It cost me about 15% on some orders, which since I'm now doing this on a hobby/non-profit basis and I don't want to pad the prices.... best to just give the price in all...

Is fully working on Linux, and secretly here I have a version that kind of runs natively on windows.

My only constraint is time!

Re: ******* Linux

Now that's hard core! Not as hardcore as it sounds, lots of swearing at lack of docs, lots of swearing under breath at developers slating your code when you remember they wrote the code you copied the style from. Then LOTS and LOTS of discussions on the colours of a bikeshed :-( But actually the ke...

Re: ******* Linux

No Hard Lock, means it is totally dead and unresponsive, it didn't even get time to write a crashlog to disk. Only the 10s salute on the power key does anything :-) And its only going to get worse, as I work in the industry i see everyone dumping linux guys (coz linux is free init) to put their inve...

Re: ******* Linux

my day job is Linux kernel developer.

But crap like the gfx drivers hard locking my machine at random are incredibly hard to even report to a bug tracker as I get zero output at all.

Re: Raspberry Pi - A commercial use?

Ah - thanks - that might explain why the one user gets a green background to the converted images (although I don't). It might be the different versions of gcc. As an aside - what is the difference? The first return true when any bits left of the checked bit is set. (1100 >> 1) = 110 which is still...

Re: Raspberry Pi - A commercial use?

Looked at your code and there is an obvious bug

Code: Select all

int isNthBitSet (unsigned char c, int n) {
  return (c >> n);
}

Doesn't do what the name claims.

It would need to be written

Code: Select all

int isNthBitSet (unsigned char c, int n) {
  return (c >> n) & 1;
}
