If it can be done with AmigaOS then it certainly can be done for QDOS :-)

So the Amiga "solves" the booting from 0 problem with reprogrammable vectors by having kickstart shadow at 0 and 10M on switch on, it then jumps to 10M and turns off the shadow at 0 leaving rom running high in memory map for initialisation of the vectors then OS.

It cant in any modern PC with Microsoft certification. The USB port is limited by hardware to 500mA.

(although old PCs there were about 20A or so available from USB port so equally cannot damage).

Ill point out the uQlx does the same trapping thing for drive access, so you should be able to get info there.

What's the dataspace you have given to that job? Whatever C68 said it was in the Xtcc field What's the value of the global variable _stack (that's the stack size given to your job, and default is 2kBytes only)? That would certainly explain the problem as the stack of the program is certainly well o...

Trying to debug a difference in behaviour in a program between Qemulator and QPC2 and narrowed it down to a 4k buffer as a local variable which seems to be corrupting something to do with file handling.
