Re: which TK2 version to use

Hi,
V 2.12 - gives boot mesage CARE / QJUMP Toolkit
V 2.13 - seems not to recognize MDV2_
V 2.20 - gives boot message QJUMP Toolkit
Just realised V 2.13 will only becomes active after TK2_EXT command is issued.

Re: which TK2 version to use

All,

Hex dump shows $4afb0001 in all three files, I have freedom of choice, good.
It's a pity RAM disk is not part of TK2, but of floppy disk firmware, correct?
I use it as a separate extension.

Which TK2 version to use

Hi All, I have a plain unexpanded QL, I wish to use toolkit TK2, I have a standard CARE cartridge and EPROM 16K. I plan to program it with TK2, what version would you recommend for me? My QL is JS ROM, one of the late SAMSUNG models. Under uQLx emulator, I have tested these versions V 2.12 - gives b...

ATARI 2 QL mouse

Hi All,

ATARI mouse plugs in to ST Joystik/Mouse port, and mouse pointer can be also controlled on ATARI by cursor keys, or even joystik itself, would it be then possible to connect ATARI mouse also to CTL1 port of the QL?

Many thanks

Re: DIY RAM EXPANSION

Dave, Would you mind looking at my GAL equations I posted earlier in the thread, I really recoded logic what Brane suggested. Leaving out FCx now for simplicity. To get logical 1 or 0 I hard wired CLK and OE inputs to VCC and GND acccordingly. I actually only need 1, so 0 is left for convenience. ht...

Re: DIY RAM EXPANSION

Dave,

I somehow missed your question, I am replying now.
The memory part# 628512 is exactly the one I chose, but the inscription on the chip itself I got is AS6C4008. Mine is Alliance brand.

Re: DIY RAM EXPANSION

Dave,

Thank you for continued encouragment, I am afraid my GAL is 15ns, I was not able to get 20 or 25 in DIL. This might be possibly a source of trouble.

Re: DIY RAM EXPANSION

My first ever PCB, 3 vias in grey, unconnected pads in yellow.
I skipped prototype backplane, relying mostly on forum advice, how certain can I be, it will work in the end?
Thank you ALL so far.

Re: DIY RAM EXPANSION

Dave, Phill,

Expansion card edge with connector imprint, TOP VIEW, should look like that.
Correct?

Thanks so far.
